Current Labor Shortages in Japan
Our belt production facility in Japan, known for its meticulous craftsmanship, is currently experiencing labor shortages. As a result, we are unable to custom make Isami Belts at our usual rate of 20-30 work days. This situation is particularly impacting our black belt, master belt as well as stiff core rank belts, which are highly sought after by practitioners of BJJ and Karate.
Extended Production Times
Given the current challenges, orders placed now will require approximately 40-60 work days to complete and ship. We understand that this extended wait time is disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. While we strive to meet all deadlines, it will be difficult to provide precise completion estimates for each order during this period. However, please rest assured that all orders will be processed sequentially as quickly as possible.
Efforts to Improve the Situation
We are fully committed to resolving these labor shortages and are working diligently to normalize production by October. Our team in Japan is dedicated to maintaining the high standards of craftsmanship that ChokeSports and Isami Belts are known for, and we are doing everything in our power to expedite the process.
Options for Urgent Orders
For those who need their black belts sooner we recommend choosing our Basic BJJ Black Belt or the Basic Karate Black Belt. These belts are pre-made in China and personalized by our skilled team in Japan. This alternative allows us to fulfill urgent orders more quickly while still delivering the quality you expect from ChokeSports.
We are pleased to report that our color rank belt line is experiencing only minor disruptions at this time. The exception is stiff color belts, which have the same construction of our premium black belts. Therefore we recommend selecting the soft rank belts if you need it sooner.
